Famed actor, producer, director and star of the hit show Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston, has listed his net-zero carbon footprint home in Ventura, California for $4,995,000. The three-bedroom, four-bathroom home is being marketed as a Coldwell Banker Global Luxury property and buyers have the option to purchase Cranston’s furniture and personal art collection located in the home.
The beachfront home is approximately 2,450 square feet and is a LEED Platinum designated property. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a worldwide green building certification program that helps homeowners be environmentally responsible and use resources efficiently. Platinum is the highest certification awarded by LEED.
Cranston’s home, which he nicknamed “Three Palms,” was a labor of love for the actor and he’s been very public about how difficult the decision was to list the property.
“I put my heart, soul and blood, sweat and often tears into it, and I’m glad because it was such an artistic endeavor, and yet functional. There’s something lovely about creating something with tremendous pride and effort and turning it over…letting someone else take it to the next level of appreciation,” said Cranston in a statement.
Other home features include: gorgeous unobstructed ocean views, unique architectural features throughout the home, huge sliding glass doors, polished concrete flooring, high-end cabinetry and appliances, smart home capabilities, multiple beachfront patio spaces, a great room with a cozy fire reading nook and an ultra-modern kitchen.
