Total Sales Year-To-Date Comparison 2008 / 2009

 

As you can see by the graph below total sales (as reported through the MLS system) are still down from 2008 by 18.8%; with residential sales being down about 16.9%.  Not too bad though, and hopefully that margin will continue to lessen through the end of the year as it has since the first quarter.

2008:

Total Residential Closings for the month of September:      162

Sotheby’s Residential Closings for the month of September:          36

 

2009:

Total Residential Closings for the month of September:      158

Sotheby’s Residential Closings for the month of September:          43

 

Though closings are down overall in the system as far as closings for September, Sotheby’s closings are actually UP from last year’s number of closings for our office.
